I have a small community of friends and I am ever so grateful that they understand and accept me. I'm not sure what other artists are like, but I am and can be pretty selfish and non-existent when working towards that big dream I have had since I could start dreaming, wishing and hoping. So in my quest of this thing called "success" I tend to withdraw from people and don't call, write or see them for a while. It's awful, but as I established before I am very grateful that my friends and family I should add, understand I need the time to go and "explore" whatever and wherever it may be.
This week however saw me catch up with friends old, new and from a far. They injected me with their love, humour and time and I thank them for their stories and their very being. I don't think my photographs reflect this. But the self portraits are a reflection from these encounters, because without their understanding for my freedom to be, then quite frankly I wouldn't be me!
